Island Rehab

This island had failing factory lacquer which had hardened to the point of chipping and shattering, especially around areas of constant changing temperatures and steam by the dishwasher. After degreasing and sanding with 220 and 400 grit sandpaper on the Festool dustless sander we sprayed a coat of Ben Moore Stix Primer and two topcoats of Ben Moore Advance Black Satin with sandings of 400 grit between coats of product. We’re very pleased with the result but more importantly so is the homeowner!
